How to Play Roller Coaster

Before the scene begins, the audience is asked for feelings or genres. The emcee makes sure that there are enough positive and negative feelings. (Rule of thumb: approx. 8 feelings/genres)

Now an independent scene is started. The presenter freezes the scene and

  • either gives one of the players a feelings assignment (feelings rollercoaster (see also: feelings list)): "Player 1 continues in mourning"

or

  • gives all players a genre assignment (genre rollercoaster (see also: genre list): "more than Western"

and lets the scene continue.

Tricks and Tips

Variations: Everyone on stage plays the same feeling after an announcement.
