How to Play Chaff

Chaff is superfluous information in an opening that's not tied to a premise or half idea.

Chaff is similar to a one-word suggestion, except generated by the improvisers. If a player mentions a location in an opening in passing, that location becomes chaff that might be used as a location or inspiration in the set.

Chaff generally is useful although not necessary for providing base reality
