Description

In this game, the audience directs indirectly by making decisions.

2 or more players play a free starting scene.

After the scene the audience is asked:"Before or after?". "Before" means that the spectators will see a scene that takes place before the start scene, "After" means that the next scene takes place after the start scene.

The corresponding scene is now played (e. g. time before the start scene). After that the audience is asked again if "before or after?".

If a scene is repeated by the audience's decision, this scene can be played as a replay scene, details can be added or adapted and information from the other scenes can be brought in.

Variation

This exercise can also be played as a longform format to tell a whole story. The scenes would last longer then and would have more depth.

A very similar game is Forward backward.
